The new Cossack commander, colonel Filon Dzhala- lii, ordered the construction of a causeway through the swamp to enable the Cossack army to withdraw. The period from the 1st to the 9th of July was spent on negotiations with the Polish- -Lithuanian side and exchange of artillery fire, the Cossacks were also continuing to build the causeway. However, on the 9th of July there was a rebellion in the wagon train and Dzhalalii was overthrown. The experienced colonel Ivan Bohun was chosen in his place. On the next morning panic spread throughout the Cossack camp on the news that the elders ran away. The Polish-Lithuanian units pursued the panic stricken Cossacks and massacred thousands fleeing through the unfinished causeway and the bridge on Plaszówka River. Colonel Bohun managed to gather some of the units and led them safely from the battlefield. Still the whole wagon train, artillery and supplies of the Cossack army were captured by the triumphant Poles and Lithuanians. Ivan Bohun (1608? – 1664) – famous Cossack colonel, he fo- ught at the beginning of the Chmielnicki uprising. In 1651 he led the remnants of the Cossack army from the battlefield at Berestechko. He did not agree to swear the oath to the tsar in 1654. He fought bravely at the battle of Okhmativ in 1655. In 1657 he was one of the Cossack commanders supporting duke Rákóczi. Later he fought on the Polish side against Muscovite forces. Shot by Poles after being charged with treason. Special Rules of the Division:Without water, mud or holes a Cossack is as good as gone

Do Not Leave Us for Death!Every Cossack regiment (also elite regiment) must deploy a Cossack rabble warband, it costs +1 FSP instead of +2FSP.

The Elders are Fleeing! Before the battle begins the Cossack player chooses one regiment (other then a Cossack rab-ble regiment). Two random units from this regiment start the game Panicked.

Special Rules:Cruel

Even considering the 17th century norms he was an exceptionally cruel man. Many allies di-sliked him but enemies often feared him. Roll a die before the battle:

1-5: The Terror of his Enemies – As long as colonel Bohun is alive all enemy regiments have 1 additional Breaking Point. If he is killed or flees they count as having 1 Breaking Point less.6-9: Disliked – Randomly choose one regiment from your division. Colonel Bohun treats units from this regiment as Insubordinate. In order to transfer 1 Command Point to the Commander of this regiment he must spend 1 additional Command Point.0: Hated – Randomly choose two regiments from your division. Colonel Bohun treats units from these regiments as Insubordinate. In order to transfer 1 Command Point to the Commander of such regiment he must spend 1 additional Command Point.

Veteran It is not easy to surprise him. If Bohun is the Commander in Chief then he may choose who has the Initiative in the first turn. If two or more Commanders in Chief have this rule it does not work for any of them.

Courageous The Commander and friendly units within 20cm of him may add +1 to Morale.

We’ll Die for You, Colonel! Every unit within 20cm from colonel Bohun gains the To the Last Man Special Rule
