Evaluation

What did you like about your image?

I like that my image has multi textures from an eagle on its body, which defines where the colours of its feathers change.

What would you improve if you did it again?

I would mainly spend more time trying to improve the edges of the body, as well as smoothing out the shape to create a feather texture on the edges.

Evaluation

What did you like about your image?

I like about my image that I have managed to create multiple textures for the background as well for the dolphins skin.

What would you improve if you did it again?

I would mainly change the colours & use different colour ranges to create a more suitable dolphin image.

Evaluation

What did you like about your image?I like about my 2 text based images, are that I have managed to give them both a colourful look, and embed and image within the text itself. What would you improve if you did it again?I would improve what images I used in my text, making them more clearer and having specific snapshots to accommodate my quotes. I would also change the outline colour to try make the image and the text have a clash, but it is not too intense for the audience.

Evaluation

What did you like about your image?

I like how my images have changed context and become more abstract. This shows me I am able to create a wide range of imagery using different abilities and textures to enhance how they look. I also like how I have managed to maintain facial features & major details while changing the appearance of the image. What would you improve if you did it again?

I would create an image which is close to a real image which has been used, like a comic book image, or something more extraordinary. This would change my ability to create more images to a realistic look. I would also use a different image to try have mixed lighting in my image, which would show the flaws in the image when I edit.

Evaluation

What did you like about your image?

I like how we captured each motion in multiple images. This helps to show the different emotions which are going through people all the time. It also has difference scene settings which also add a good effect to show emotion.

What would you improve if you did it again?

I would likely change the way I operated for the task as I didn’t tend to find a lot of happiness & excitement. Since it was limited to a small area, it is harder to capture the emotions what are running through people.

Evaluation

What did you like about your image?I like that my illustration shows detail into the body & characteristics from what it is. I have added small details which give it a more effective look, and I have used the similar colour schemes to the image. What would you improve if you did it again? If I was to improve, I would maybe of chosen an easy picture to illustrate, with a wider range of colours in the picture. I would also change the fact that I have used similar colours to do the image and not that actual colours needed.

Story Overview

Goldilocks is out for a walk & gets lost in the woods. She stumbles across a large wooden log hut, so she enters. She finds 3different cakes on a table side, the first one covered in white icing and covered with sugary sweets, the 2nd cake covered in pink icing and covered in small hearts, and the 3rd one covered in chocolate. She tastes the first one & second one, which she spits out as it is not to her liking, one being too sweet, and the other too dry. Tries the 3rd cake and loves it, she eats it all. After feeling full she moves on to finding somewhere to sit, she comes across 3 bean bags. The first one is too mushy and she sinks inside it, the 2nd

is too hard and she cant be comfy, the 3rd is just right until she pops it and all the beans come out. Then she feels tired so she goes to find a bed to sleep in. Instead she finds 3 hammocks in the garden, and decides to sleep in them. The first one is too low down when she is in it, the 2nd one is too springy, and the 3rd just right, she sleeps in the hammock. Later the owners come back to their house, 3 wolves. They notice that their cakes have been eaten, bean bags sat on and broken, and hammocks touched. Goldilocks wakes up and see’s the wolves, and decides to run away from them. The wolves, in a hurry, chase her out of the woods. END.

Deadline

Thursday 16th October 2014.

Audience

I am targeting an audience of both children & adults. I need my book to appeal to both groups to generate more popularity for my book. The ages I will focus on are between ages 5-8, so children can read the book with an adult or with help from the adult. The location my book will be aimed at is around the world, as the original story is a popular fairy tale in the English language. I will also focus on trying to create a rhythm for the book, to keep it at a nice pace.

Production Methods

To produce my pages, I will be including an image of some sort related to the text, and the images will have rotoscopes & shapes on them to create a more defined look for my own characters. I have chosen to do this as illustrations and photographic methods would consume more time than I have to create my book. Also I have more skills with rotoscoping & shapes to create & edit tasks, which can give me an edge on my images.

What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work?

The proposal is very well thought out and has had a

lot of detail put in to it, which always goes down

smooth. I like how the time and effort seems to

already be paying off as you have gathered a nice

and appropriate set of images.

Although the book is on a flying start and I already

want to read it, everything seems a little bit too

original. Maybe write it from somebody else’s angle

and not goldilocks’s? but I love the wolf idea, good

shout. But nevertheless, I’d buy this book.

What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been

further developed?

One big strength is the time and effort the writer

has put into the planning of the book. It seems you

have already put in staggering amounts of thought

into it as the images you have gathered seem to

have taken a lot of effort.

I honestly cannot think of anything that could be

improved.

Page 31: Development pro forma V2

What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work?

The story overview is extremely detailed and

imaginative; it seems like a lot of thought was put

into it. Good range of information on target

audience.

I can’t really see any areas that need further

improvement.

What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been

further developed?

Idea generation presents lots of information. Mood

board has an assortment of images. Lots of

information on the initial mind map.

Maybe find more images for the mood boards, for

example more pictures that can be used to base a

setting off.

Page 32: Development pro forma V2

What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work?

The proposal is extremely well detailed, with a lot of

clear explanations and reasoning for all the creative

decisions involved in the book.

You could include some more details in the

audience section of the proposal, looking into more

criteria by which you can assess what your

audience will be. Such as by the criteria’s of gender

or social class, or you could state that the book is

appropriate for people of any gender or social

class.

What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been

further developed?

The idea generation mood board spans multiple

pages and covers a vast array of important features

of the book, as you have created individual mood-

boards for multiple aspects of the book, and

therefore can use them as a good source of

inspiration.

You could possibly look at a few more different

fonts in each of the mood boards rather than just

limiting it to one, so that you will have a larger

range that you have looked at already when it

comes to choosing your fonts in the project.

Feedback Summary

Sum up your feedback.

My feedback I received was very good, & has made me think about the positives & negatives to my book. I do have some feedback which is there to help me with more ideas & to have a better range on what I can do to the idea generation & enhance my book as a whole.

Which parts of your feedback do you agree with and why?

I got a lot of feedback which focuses on the detail & explanations for my book. I would agree with this feedback as I have targeted to look into ideas with great details & note down everything I think of/use within my book. I would also agree with the feedback given about improvements, which include about adding more detail towards the range of how the story is played out & details on my target audience. I also agree on some of the improvement comments which refer to adding different styles & more font, more images to show my general idea & to give it a boost to start it off.

Which parts of your feedback do you disagree with and why?

I would disagree with how some of my feedback says that some more information should be added on my mood boards, & how some more images would create a bigger idea. I disagree with this as I have thought through what is the initial story, and how I want to adapt it to be my own unique story.
