VoreinstellungDie dimensionierten Einstellwerte lassen sich vor Fühlermon-tage ohne Werkzeug einfach und exakt einstellen. Die rote Voreinstellkrone wird hierzu so verdreht, daß die ermittelte Voreinstellzahl mit der Einstellmarkierung übereinstimmt. In der Einstellung „N“ ist der Voreinstellung aufgehoben.Weitere technische Informationen erhalten Sie über den Han-del oder beim Heizkörper hersteller.

PresettingThe dimensioned setting values can be selected simply and precisely without tools, prior to the fitting of the sensor. For this purpose, the red scale ring must be turned to ensure that the presetting figure selected matches the setting mark. In setting “N” the preset value is fully open.Detailed information is available from stockists or from the ra-diator manufacturer.

Préréglage Avant d’installer le bulbe thermostatique sur le corps de robinet, sélectionner la valeur de préréglage du débit souhaitée de façon simple et précise sans outil spécial. Pour ce faire, tourner la bague rouge de façon à faire correspondre la valeur de préréglage sou-haitée avec le repère de réglage sur la partie fixe du corps.En position « N », la vanne est grande ouverte.Des informations détaillées sur ce réglage sont disponibles chez les distributeurs ou le fabricant du radiateur.

Integrated valves types RA-N 013G7370 and RA-U 013G7371, both with built-in presetting, aredesigned for incorporation into valve radiatorsfrom different radiator manufacturers.

The two valve types can be recognised by thecolour of the presetting ring:

▪ Red: RA-N,▪ Yellow: RA-U.

Integrated valves can be used in one and twopipe installations with circulating pump.

1) The technical differential pressure indicates the upper limit for a proper valve function. In most two-pipe systems the recommended differential pressure is sufficient. In order to achieve a noiselessfunction we recommend in smaller systems to apply automatic bypass valves or automatic balancingvalves. If pump differential pressure exceeds the recommended max. valve differential pressure it isrecommended that an automatic balancing valve type ASV-P/PV is added to the system.

2) The kv-values indicate the flow volume (Q) in m³/h at a pressure loss (∆p) across the valve of 1 bar;

. At setting N, the kv-value in accordance with EN 215 can be stated as Xp = 2 K. At lower preset

values, Xp will be reduced until approximately Xp 0.5 at presetting 1. The table shows the averagemeasured values for integrated valves with radiator. The kvs-values indicate the valve capacity, whenthe valve is fully open.

3) When using a liquid filled radiator thermostat e.g. RAW, RAS-D or remote setting element type RA 5060Xp will be increased by factor 1.6 (at setting “N”, ref. EN 215).

The presetting values of the integrated valve canbe adjusted easily and accurately without the useof tools (factory setting: N):

▪ Remove the protective cap or the sensor▪ Find the reference mark▪ Turn the setting ring until the chosen

presetting aligns with the reference mark

The presetting is controlled directly without theuse of equipment. After installation in theradiator, the reference mark of the valves will notalways be positioned in the same place.

Presetting can be selected infinitely variablywithin the range of 1 to 7. At setting ‘N’ the valveis fully open. Setting in the shaded areas of thedrawing should be avoided.

When the radiator thermostat has been installed,the presetting is protected against unintendedregulation.

In a one-pipe installation, the setting ‘N’ must beused. Setting ‘N’ can be used as a flushingposition if the system has to be flushed outbecause of dirt problems.

Mounting Instructions

Installation of an integrated valve at radiatormanufacturer’s plant

An integrated valve can only be fitted once in aradiator (because of the load on the deformationzone).

▪ Fit the integrated valve in the radiator usinga 12-edge spanner, KW 21.

▪ Tighten using a torque of 30-35 Nm▪ If required, continue turning until one of the

cap thread beads points upwards (onlyclockwise). Tolerance for adjustment: ±5°.

Removal and fitting in an existing radiator

valve and the radiator (3), e.g. on top (4)▪ Remove valve.▪ Fitting: Insert the integrated valve, tighten

until the marked-off position has beenreached.

Replacing the Gland Seal While the system is in operation, the gland seal can be replaced by means of a spanner, KW 10. Holdthe setting ring using a 12-edge ring-spanner, KW 17.
