VENUEThe centre for the event is the area of the XC skiing, biathlon and MTB stadium named Vysočina Arena by Nové Město na Moravě, the Czech Republic. The stadium is located in the heart of the Vysocina highland, one of the most visited and most beautiful tourist regions in the Czech Republic. The sta-dium at Nové Město na Moravě lies 620 metres above sea-level. The terrain stretches between 610 – 720 metres above sea-level. The venue is about 30 km distant from the major highway connecting the capital Prague with the 2nd largest city in the country Brno.

TEAM MANAGERS MEETING will be held on Friday 24th May at 14:30 in the conferenceroom on the 2nd fl oor of the OC AREA BUILDING next to the biathlon shooting range.

ANTIDOPING CONTROLSwill be performed in accordance with the UCI regulations. Testing will be carried out in the building (where the media cen-tre is located) behind the stands B – on the ground fl oor of the media center. Will be signed.

Riders confi rmation and payments will be made in the EVENT OFFICE, which is located in the administrative OC AREA building.

MEDIA CENTREThe Nove Mesto Media Centre is located very close to the start and fi nish line in the main tribune with back door entry (marked in orange behind the stands B). Directions are avail-able throughout the area and the building is within easy walk-ing distance of the media car park.The centre will be provided with around 80 power sockets /European/German type/, but in busy times please note you may need to share this facility. A plasma screen will also be provided with a live television broadcast from the race.

PARKING FOR MEDIA = NEW IN 2019!All Media pass holders will be directed to park in the Media Parking which is located OUTSIDE OF THE MAIN VISITOR’S EN-TRANCE with an easy access to the Media Centre, approx. 250 meters away. All accredited journalists and photographers may ask for a Press Parking card at the Accreditation Offi ce. Without this card you will not be allowed to enter the Media Parking. Approaching the Media Parking is different from last years! IT IS NOT LOCATED INSIDE, BUT OUTSIDE OF THE FENCED PREMISES OF VYSOČINA ARENA with arrival from Nové Město na Moravě. Organizers and signs will lead you. Pass the spectator parking and after entering the forest you will have to turn left. Then a small biathlon road will lead you through the tunnel. REFRESHMENTSTea, coffee, water and sandwiches will be provided throughout the three days and there are a number of food stalls in the Event Village where food can be bought.

OFFICIALS AREASMedia may not enter the following areas: VIP, Timing cabin, Feed and Technical Areas on the course or the Anti-doping Area.

TEAM TECHNICAL AREAMedia are allowed to enter the team technical area in the Event Village but you must ask the permission of the team manager before conducting any interviews.

PHOTOGRAPHY BIBSPhotographers will be issued with bibs that must be worn at all times when photographing in the Event Village and around the course. Bibs require a CZK deposit of 50 EUR or 1300 CZK, which will be returned when you hand back the bib at the end of the event.

RED PHOTOGRAPHY BIBS are for priority access photographers who are allowed anywhere else on the course as well as the designated photo areas, the start and fi nish lines.YELLOW BIBS are provided to all photographers accredited with access to photo zones around the course and to the start line. Photo zones will be clearly marked.

VIDEOGRAPHER AND TV CREW BIBS

BLACK, PURPLE, WHITE, BROWN, BLUE AND GREEN BIBS are given out by the UCI.

All other media (journalists) must stay off the course in designated areas. If you have any queries about photogra-phy please speak to one of our media centre staff.

PHOTOGRAPHY RULESWe would like to stress that at no time should photographers step beyond the tape barriers, except for photographers with dark green bibs. Please adhere to these rules and listen to marshals when instructed. Flash photography is allowed, but please be considerate of competitors when using fl ash during events.

TV CREWSAs specifi ed above camera crews will be issued with black, purple, white, brown, blue nad green bibs. It is allowed to fi lm training, interviews and “behind the scene” without restriction for reports with up to 3 min riding footage (fi lmed during training) per day, if the me-dia confi rm to respect the MTB World Cup fi lming regulations. It is not allowed for international me-dia to fi lm the elite races (means the XCC races on Friday and XCO Elite races on

Sunday) without rights clearance, please contact [email protected] Only for domestic media (who can secure broadcasts/publication only in the Czech Republic) a limited amount of com-petition fi lming is allowed for atmospher-ics, rights for continuous fi lming of the event are restricted to the rights holders for the event.

START LISTS AND RESULTSThe rider entry list swill be available on the UCI website, and a latest print ver-sion will be made available in the media centre. Please bear in mind that due to last minute changes, this list cannot be guaranteed as accurate so please refer to start lists at mediacentre when necessary.

MEDAL CEREMONIESMedal ceremonies will take place ac-cording to the schedule of the program. Photographers have a cordoned-off sec-tion in front of the podium where they will be able to stand.

INTERVIEWS + PRESS CONFERENCESRiders will be available for interview after each podium presentation in the mix zone, after riders have done their podium presentation. It is at the discre-tion of the cyclist and his/her support team as to when or if they are available for media interviews.

ACCREDITATION VENUEStarting from Thursday (May 23) 8:00 a.m., the access into the Vysočina Arena will be allowed only for persons and vehicles with accreditation - UCI Rainbow passes or NMNM World Cup event accreditations. Teams and media must collect their accreditations and parking cards in the Accreditation Offi ce located in Cultural house in Nové Město na Moravě (see map above).

Electricity and water (for teams who ordered the service) will be available on Thursday May 24 from 10 a.m. Should you request to have the electricity or water earlier, please count with an additional fee of 10 EUR/day for each connection payed on the Event Offi ce.

IMPORTANT: THE ENTIRE STADIUM IS LOCATED INSIDE NA-TURE PROTECTED AREA. WASHING OF BIKES AND VEHICLES (CARS, CARAVANS, TRUCKS) IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN-SIDE THE TEAM ZONES A + B! ALL BIKES MAY BE WASHED ONLY IN A DESIGNATED BIKE-WASH AREA. NOT FOLLOWING THIS REGULATION MAY BE FINED UP TO 1000 EUR.

NIGHT RACETraditional MTB Night Race will be held on Saturday evening. It’s that kind of a race that you can push hard from start to fi nish; or rather enjoy it in the train-ing tempo, but with maximum fun! The race takes place on lightened biathlon tracks and many participants often start in bizarre costumes and show off some truly amazing stunts. But there are also some guys, who take it 100% seriously: the front of the pack is pushing it full throttle! Don’t hesitate to take part even if you want to take it

relaxed and without a costume, you defi nitely won’t be alone out there! The race circuit is over 2 km long with wide and paved surface. The race is held for 30 minutes + 1 lap. At the start line you will meet World Cup team mechanics and other team members including even the Team Managers of renowned names. MTB Night Race is defi nitely something you should’t miss! And if you don’t participate as an ath-lete, a role of spectator is a must!
