Q: What is Biomimicry?A: Biomimetics takes inspiration from nature, its models, systems and processes in order to solve human problems. “Biomimetics”

consists of the word fragments “biology” and “mimicry” (imitation). Thus, the close observation of nature and subsequent realization of the conclusions in technical applications is the basic idea behind biomimicry. The essential ingredients protect and replenish the protein within the hair thus mimicing the hair’s natural composition to move biomimetics to the next generation.

Q: What is the difference between Natural, Coloured and Sensitized hair?A: Natural hair is untreated hair, so has not had colour added to it. Coloured hair needs treating differently as it requires certain

pigments to keep the colour shining and fresh. Sensitized / Highlighted hair is one that has previously had many products to it. Hair become frizzy and dry from ongoing chemical treatments, needing a lot of condition and care.

Q: Can Nanokeratin System be applied to hair that has undergone chemical treatments including straightening procedures?A: Nanokeratin System can be applied to hair that has undergone any type of chemical treatment including straightening

procedures – simply select product series appropriate for hair type.

Q: How long does the treatment take at the salon?A: The Nanokeratin System treatment time varies depending on the length and type of hair. It can take approximately 60 minutes for short

hair and 120 minutes for longer hair.

Q: What happens if my hair reverts back to its original form?A: If hair reverts back to its original form over the three days immediately following the treatment, use a blow dryer or a Titanium Flat Iron to

ensure effectiveness of the treatment.

Q: If I colour my hair, should I do this before or after treatment? A: If colouring your hair, aim to do so before having the Nanokeratin System treatment performed. If this is not possible, wait at least two

weeks until after the treatment to colour hair. (TIP: Using our Colour Preserving Mask will help to lock the colour in, keeping it nourished and vibrant.)

Q: Can I use any shampoo and conditioner?A: It is recommended that you continue to use the Nanokeratin System home care products to achieve the best results. All of our products

are SLS and Paraben free and have been designed purposefully to give you the best from your treatment.

Q: How should hair be dealt with immediately following treatment?A: Consult your hair type and structure with your hairdresser. Generally for the three days post Nanokeratin System treatment aim to follow

these guidelines:- Do not get hair wet (shower, pool or sea). If hair gets wet within the first three days post treatment, re-straighten with a Titanium Flat Iron.- Do not use any hair care products including hair spray, gel and mousse.- Do not tie hair up.

Q: How often should the Nanokeratin System be undertaken?A: You will see when the results start to fade out but it is approximately 12-16 weeks depending on the hair type.

Q: When can I cut my hair?A: Trim hair following the Nanokeratin System treatment in order to remove split ends and enjoy your silky smooth hair.
