The system of Federal Government of the United States was established by the Constitution, ratified in 1788.

The highest mountains are situated in the western part of the country.

They are the Rocky Mountains and Sierra Nevada with the highest mountain Mt. Whitney (4,421 m high).

The highest peak in the USA is in Alaska – it is Mount McKinley in the Alaska Range (6,194 m high).

The subtropical climate in the south (Florida)
