ÚVOD

Soubor obsahuje 20 pracovních listů pro výuku angličtiny. Je určen učitelům 2.stupně ZŠ

a SŠ jako metodická příručka pro vlastní vytváření doplňkových materiálů z internetových zdrojů

do výuky především angličtiny.

Jednotlivé listy jsou doplněny podrobným popisem internetové adresy s cestou

k vytvoření daného materiálu. Typově jsou cvičení velice různorodé, abychom ukázali dostatečné

mnoţství nápadů na další moţné vytváření podobných listů do výuky.

Náměty a vytvoření daného souboru jsou výsledkem pedagogické práce lektorského týmu

Jazykové školy Alternativ CZ s.r.o. především rodilé mluvčí Maegan Hoower a Tatjany

Marešové.

Soubor obsahuje seznam internetových adres vhodných pro výuku cizích jazyků

především angličtiny.

There are many possible answers for this worksheet – the idea is to get the student

thinking about each role and adjective and how to apply each.

How to prepare it:

For a matching worksheet such as this, choose a set of adjectives that you are currently

working on with your class and place these in a box at the top of the page. Then think up

several roles or professions to which the chosen adjectives can be applied. Finally, place

these roles/professions in boxes of their own with sufficient space underneath each for

student‟s to write.

How to prepare it:

Worksheets such as this are plentiful online. For example, you can find exceptional

beginner‟s verb conjugation worksheets at www.teaching-esl-to-adults.com/free-esl-

worksheets-for-beginners.html. Other templates can be found at http://www.eslbase.com/

if you scroll to “teaching resources” on the main page and then click “downloadable

worksheets and activities”. The eslbase website does require that you create a login but

signing up is free and their resources are valuable.

You can either print the worksheets you find online directly or download them to edit in

Microsoft Word. Editing is important if you notice that some of the lexis is too advanced

for your students. For instance, while the present worksheet is advanced given the

amount of verb tenses the student must choose from, the lexis is quite straightforward.

Here are some examples:

How to prepare it:

The present worksheet was not created using any websites. To create a similar worksheet,

simply select your desired lexis, place these words in a text box at the top of the page and

ask the students to write sentences using each word. In the present worksheet, pictures

have been added to give the students clues regarding the definitions of each adjective.

While visually attractive, the pictures are not nec.

How to prepare it:

To prepare a worksheet such as this, download a comic strip of your choice online and

remove the text within the speech bubbles. The present comic was downloaded from

http://www.foxtrot.com/ by simply right clicking on the comic of interest and saving it as

a jpeg. The speech bubbles were then removed using Microsoft Powerpoint and the

resulting image was inserted into Microsoft Word. Since the speech bubbles are removed

completely, it is possible to create your own dialogue if so desired. This is optimal if the

original lexis is too advanced for your students. The above dialogue was edited slightly in

order to make it easier to discern where each quotation should go.

How to prepare it:

This wordsearch was created at

http://puzzlemaker.discoveryeducation.com/WordSearchSetupForm.asp. If you plan on

adding editing the “clues section” (as was done in this worksheet) make sure to choose

“text” in step three so that the wordsearch can be copied into Micros;oft Word. Pasting

the resulting wordsearch into a text box is the most convenient option. That way the size

can be easily adjusted without encountering too many formatting issues. Make sure that

when the wordsearch is inserted that it remains in its original 15x15 or 20x20 size. If the

ratio of rows to columns is altered, certain letters will no longer match up within the

wordserach. It is also possible to print the wordsearch directly offline, cut it out, tape it

onto a piece of paper containing your “clues” and photocopy it.

To make the wordsearch more challenging, you may create an unscrambling exercise for

each word rather than providing the word itself. Adding pictures can help give the

students clues as to which adjective has been scrambled. Furthermore, images make the

worksheet more aesthetically pleasing. In the present worksheet, the wordsearch contains

adjectives. This activity can, however, be modified to suit any lesson topic. It all depends

on which words you choose for the wordsearch.

under “beginner/elementary level ESL board games.” Choose “adjective/opposites”. To

make the game more challenging, replace the easier adjectives with more challenging

words. For example, in the above worksheet “depressed” was substituted for “sad”. The

present worksheet was edited in Microsoft Powerpoint. The finished image was then

saved as a jpeg and inserted into Microsoft Word for easy printing. It may, however, be

possible to edit the templates in Word as well.

The narrative for the present worksheet was taken from Raymond Murphy‟s English

Grammar in Use. Similar stories, however, can be found online from websites such as

To create a grammar worksheet, simply ask the student to change each verb into a new

tense. In the present worksheet, for instance, the student is asked to rewrite each verb

used in the short story in its past simple form. This type of worksheet can be modified to

suit a variety of lesson aims.

Tato publikace byla vytištěna v rámci projektu:

Nové výukové metody a využití informačních technologií při realizaci školního

vzdělávacího programu na základních a středních školách Středočeského

kraje, registrační číslo projektu: CZ.1.07/1.3.04/01.0027

Projekt je zaměřen na získání kompetencí učitelů a vedoucích pracovníků ve školách

a školských zařízeních v oblasti navázání mezipředmětových vztahů. Vychází z

potřeb implementace průřezových témat do Školních vzdělávacích programů. V

rámci jednotlivých kurzů, kde prioritu tvoří mezipředmětové vztahy. V rámci

následující témata:

1. využití IC technologií

2. výuka cizích jazyků

3. enviromentální výchova

4. tvorba a naplňování e-learningového vyučování

5. využití PC programů ve výuce

V rámci projektu byla vytvořena aplikace sloužící k vytváření

širokospektrálních testů pro ověření znalostí žáků na ZŠ a SŠ. Účastníci kurzů byli

proškoleni v jejich správě a aplikování.

Program byl realizován Vysokou školou evropských a regionálních studií, o.p.s.

v Příbrami pro základní a střední školy Středočeského kraje.
