These are not the only projects, since Nice is further expanding its horizons with an exhibition centre measuring 80,000 m2 in the heart of the Éco-vallée. Constant renewalThe Côte d’Azur displays an unparalleled savoir-faire in staking its claim as a destination thatconstantly renews itself in response to the most stringent demands. In terms of venues, newlymarketable products include high-tech apartments, rehabilitated historical sites and meeting rooms with exceptional services. Companies in the incentive market are looking for original programs, and DMC make good use of the broad diversity of the Côte d’Azur: sea, mountains, culture and museums, and events. Since the Côte d’Azur is also frequently used to launch new automobile models, the hotels are very well placed to fi ll this niche.
Incentive: an unexpected playing fi eldThis is the other treasure of the Côte d’Azur. The mid and high country open up unexpected options for business customers.These two regions represent nearly 80% of the territory and off er a multiplicity of exceptionallandscapes. DMC understood this very well: the hinterland makes the Côte d’Azur a new destination for event organisers. From Mercantour National Park and Pre-Alpes d’Azur Regional Park, every one of the seven valleys that comprise the province of Alpes-Maritimes off ers possibilities for incredible activities. During the snowy season, ski resorts in the Alpes-Maritimes provide 700 km of runs just one and a half hours from the beach. More extreme activities such as igloo building, ice waterfall climbing, frozen river hiking, dog sledding or ski joering, among others, are available.
Summer funDuring the summer months, these same spots become hiking and mountain biking venues. Some have via ferratas, climbing sites and underground caves, and there are facilities for white water sports. Mountain roads and forests provide physical challenges, from straight-forward paths to moreextreme tests. The region is unique in that these activities can be enjoyed in excellent weather just a few kilometres from the Mediterranean and the towns, characteristic of the Côte d’Azur coast. Theseenvironmental resources are a breath of fresh air for the Côte d’Azur and its visitors!

Destination Creation of a new Convention Centre in Antibes Juan-les-Pins. The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès of Cannes celebrates its 30th anniversary. Cannes: launch of a new online strategy. The site "B2B" has been reworked and optimized. Passport Cannes wants to a ract the cruise and delegates: a new retention tool, it gathers exceptional off ers (shops, restaurants) available all year. Nice a global project for the City, “Éco-Vallée”, a greenbelt, an exhibition centre measuring 80,000 m², the new Allianz Riviera stadium and a transport development policy. Germania opens two weekly fl ights between Nice and Bremen (Thursday, Sunday) from 2 May 2013. A destination not served before. Service to Kristiansand (Norway) on April 25 with two fl ights a week. This destination is also unique to the airport.
Hotels The Splendid Hotel and Spa in Nice awarded the European EcoLabel. The hotel features a spa and above 5 meeting rooms, which can be conveniently located for meeting industry in the heart of town. Clarion Grand Hotel in Nice, 5.5 ME invested in renovation. The hotel off ers 150 rooms. Restaurants, including the brewery with pool on the 7th fl oor and conference rooms have also undergone a makeover. The Vista Palace Hotel in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin: situated on a rocky peak at the crossroads of France, Principality of Monaco and Italy overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, has obtained the prestigious category 5 stars. Intercontinental Carlton in Cannes will celebrate its 100th Anniversary in 2013. The 4 star Hotel Gray d'Albion in Cannes recently received ISO 26000. This qualifi cation is a fi rst in the hospitality industry. Marrio International opens its fi rst AC Hotel in Juan-les-Pins: 221 rooms and 20 meeting rooms accommodating up to 200 people. Beginning 2013, a new AC Hotel Nice by Marrio will also open its doors. Sophia Country Club: 4 stars resort in the heart of Sophia Antipolis has been completely renovated. 155 rooms fully renovated in a modern and refi ned style. The property has an area of 1000 m² modular room for seminars. Architect Wilmo e signs the realization of a 4 star hotel in Cagnes-sur-Mer, 84 rooms including 4 suites, a seminar area with 3 conference rooms.

Sustainable showcase Work on Nice’s 30-year Eco-Valley project is under way, kick- startingambitious plans to become the Green City of the Mediterranean. A fi ne example of eco-architecture, the 35,000-seater "Allianz Riviera" stadium will produce more energy than it needs and will recuperate almost enough ground water to maintain the pitch.
