Metodický pokyn:

Metodický materiál je vhodný pro práci s interaktivní tabulí. Výuku inovuje použitím multimediálních pomůcek. Využití materiálu je multifunkční - je určen k prezentaci v hodině, k procvičení a je možné jej využít i pro přípravu ke státní maturitní zkoušce. Rozsah a obsah výukového materiálu je přizpůsoben potřebám žáků technických oborů.

NEW ZEALAND

• New Zealand is an island country in Pacific Ocean situated 1,500 kilometers east of Australia across the Tasman Sea and roughly 1,000 kilometers south of the Pacific island areas of New Caledonia, Fiji and Tonga.

• New Zealand is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary democracy.

• Head of the state is the Queen Elizabeth II represented by the Governor General.

• Head of the government is Prime Minister.• The New Zealand Parliament holds legislative

power and consists of the Queen and the House of Representatives.

Geography• New Zealand is made up of two main islands and a

number of smaller islands. • The two main islands the North Island and the South

Island are separated by the Cook Strait.• The South Island is the largest landmass of New

Zealand. The Southern Alps is a mountain range (there are 18 peaks over 3,000 meters).The North Island is less

mountainous but is marked

by volcanism.• The highest peak is Mount Cook

(Aoraki) is 3,754 meters hight.
