National Activities of Prof. Dr. Amin Mobarak
1- Profound contribution in developing a turbo pump system for rocket engine to improve its performance from 1966-1968, Military Factory 33- now SAQR.
2- Establishing a gas dynamic lab for flow of gases and turbo machinery in the Faculty of Engineering, Mechanical Dept., at Cairo University from 1976-1980.
3- Participating in Desert Institute project at the American University in Cairo for utilizing renewable energy in desert cultivation from 1984-1989.
4- Effective contribution in developing technical education and vocational training (Mobarak-Kohl) with cooperation of the German side starting from Arish workshop 1990 till the conclusion of the agreement with the Germans in 1992 for supporting technical education and vocational training and steps taken till 1995. Also attending an important symposium on “Future of technical and vocational training in Egypt till the year 2017” which took place in the city of Celle, Germany in September 1997.
5- Conducting cost-benefit study for utilizing wind energy assigned by the Ministery of Electircity in the Suez Gulf zone which showed the possibility of generating 20000 MW of wind energy in this area. This has led to the agreement of the Denmark side to participate in financing the establishment of a wind form with a capacity of 60 M W in Zaafarana zone in the Sueze Gulf and was inaugurated in 2001.
6- Submitting a report on the Strategy of Industry and the visions of the twenty first century with contribution of the Industry and Energy Committee at the Egyptian People’s Assembly in May 1997 and which gained the approval of the People’s Assembly and the executive organs in the Government.
7- Submitting on behalf of UNIDO a country paper for the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) Aug.- Sept. 2002 in Johannesburg titled “The challenges of Sustainable Industrial Development in Egypt, Oct. 2001.
8- Submitting a report on “Moderinizing The Egyptian Industry” with contrubution of the Industry and Energy Committee at the Egyptian People’s Assembly, May 2002. Also published as Al-Ahram Economic Book No. 175, July 2002.

10- University of Kassel and Cairo University have agreed to launch an international bicultural Master Course (Msc.) on renewable energy and energy efficiency for Arab & German young professionals (REMENA). This program is supported by German Academy Exchange Service (DAAD) and has begun 2009. I have been assigned as Head of Advisory Board of the bicultural Arab-German Master Program for the MENA region (with Mr. Klaus Knecht, INWENT, Germany as Vice-Chair and a total of 11 members of the board - researchers & industrialists - from other countries as follows: 6 from Germany,1 from Jordan, 1 from Syria, 1 from Egypt).
