Drotarsky klub D:Zarek sa orientuje na hist6riu i sueasnu tvorbu drotarstva, teoreticky aj prakticky rozsiruje svoje vedomosti a zrucnosti. Klub vedie Jozef Sabo. rodín: Ladislav Fapšo, Róbert Hozák, Juraj Šerík, Ladislav Jurovatý ml. ubomír Smržík, ŠtefanSmržík, Anna Haviarová, Janette Imrová, Blažena Kriváková, Dagmar Krížová, O ga Obertová,Rudolf Suran, Zuzana Suranová a Jozef Šabo sú samoukovia, alebo absolventi drotárskehokurzu Školy remesiel Ú UV. Spolupracujú s PMZA i Ú UV, tvoria úžitkové a dekoratívnepredmety s dôsledným remeselným vypracovaním. Jozef Zoller bol žiakom L. Jurovatého st.

A.6. Geografická lokalizácia a rozšírenie prvku: Drotárska výroba je aktuálna ako vpôvodných oblastiach niekdajšej Drotárie, tak aj mimo jej oblastí. V sú asnosti sa jej venujúvýrobcovia v rámci Slovenska, a to hlavne na Strednom Považí (Žilina) v Kysuciach ( adca), naOrave (Námestovo, Nižná), v Turci (Martin), v Ponitrí (Leopoldov), na Spiši (Levo a), v Tekove(Ma a, Žiar nad Hronom) i v Bratislave.Na území iech a Moravy sa prvok vyskytuje ako prenesený zo Slovenska za iatkom 90-tychrokov 20. storo ia. Aj napriek tomu, že je tam drotárstvo živé a majú svoj vlastný cech, necítia knemu príslušnos , je to bez väzby ako na nie o, o u nich nevzniklo, len bolo prebraté. Drôtpoužívajú viac ako experimentálny prvok napríklad v Spojených štátoch amerických alebo vniektorých štátoch západnej Európy.

B.1. Opis prvku: Drotárstvo vzniklo ako vandrovné doplnkové zamestnanie zamerané napodomové opravovanie kuchynského riadu, výrobu a predaj rôznych výrobkov z drôtu a neskôr iplechu. Formovalo sa od 18. st. na Slovensku v severnej asti Tren ianskej stolice (hornéPovažie a Kysuce) a neskôr aj v oblasti severného Spiša. Ako špecifické, nero níckezamestnanie predstavovalo fenomén, ktorý významnou mierou ovplyvnil tradi nú kultúru danejoblasti. Vznik drotárstva na severozápadnom SK bezprostredne ovplyvnila existenciadrôto ažeckých manufaktúr a valcovní plechu v Sliezsku a na Morave. V dôsledku konkurencieodchádzali drotári za prácou astejšie za hranice Rakúsko-Uhorska, ím svoju živnos akopôvodne isto lokálny fenomén rozšírili takmer na všetky kontinenty. Rozvoj drotárstva zastavila1.SV., po roku 1918 došlo k jeho výraznému úpadku a po 2.SV. vo svojej klasickej podobeprakticky zaniklo. Vo výtvarnom figurálnom umení sa drôt prvýkrát uplatnil za iatkom 40. r. 20.st., ke vznikli insitné plastiky pre drotárske múzeum v Žiline. Dožívajúci majstri ešte ob asdrôtovali, nová generácia sa neformovala. V úžitkovej a umeleckej tvorbe sa za al drôt znovuobjavova až v 60. r. 20. st., no skuto ný záujem o drotárstvo nastal až po roku 1990. H adali sanové možnosti zhodnocovania remeselného dedi stva vo formálnom, technologickom ajvýrazovom zmysle, o sa za alo postupne popri úžitkovej tvorbe v tradi nom chápaní a došlo kvýraznejšiemu posunu do dekoratívnej a výtvarnej roviny. Drôt tak našiel uplatnenie okremudovej umeleckej výroby najmä v umeleckom remesle, výtvarnom umení a šperkárstve.

UV (Centre for Folk Art Production) is a cultural institution with national competence,responsible for the continuity in the safeguarding of knowledge, skills, cultural and aestheticvalues represented by living crafts and folk artistic production. Museum of Považie Region inŽilina is a regional history museum specializing since its establishment (1942) on the history oftransport and wire craft. It acts as the documentary entre of wire craft on national level. Museumof Kysuce is a specialized regional cultural institution that preserves wire craft traditions and

other tangible and intangible artefacts for the next generation. Museum Stará ubov a - Castlein Stará ubov a is a regional museum with comprehensive museum documentation, preservingand presenting the wire craft tradition in the Spiš area. The memorial room of the wire craft in thevillage of Dlhé Pole is devoted to the history of wire craft and the existing masters in the village.The Municipal Museum – The Museum of “Drotária” in Ve ké Rovné promotes the wire craft,which is inherently connected to the history of the village.

Wire craftsmen club Džarek focuses on the history and the contemporary production of wirecraft, in theory and practice the members extend their knowledge and skills. The club is led byJozef Šabo. Of the 15 individual bearers included in nomination four of them come from wirecraftsman families: Ladislav Fapšo, Róbert Hozák, Juraj Šerík and Ladislav Jurovatý jr.. ubomírSmržík, Štefan Smržík, Anna Haviarová, Janette Imrová, Blažena Kriváková, Dagmar Krížová,

ga Obertová, Rudolf Suran, Zuzana Suranová and Jozef Šabo are self-taught, or graduates ofthe wire craft course of the School of Crafts at Ú UV. They collaborate with Museum of PovažieRegion in Žilina or Ú UV, they make useful and decorative objects with a thoroughcraftsmanship. Jozef Zoller was a pupil of L. Jurovatý sr.

A.6. Geographical location and range of the element:

Wire craft and art manufacturing can be found both within the original areas of the former regionof “Drotária” (north-western Slovakia, Kysuce region) and outside them. At present, this art andcraft is pursued by creators from all over Slovakia: mainly in the Middle Považie (Žilina), Kysuce

adca), Orava (Námestovo, Nižná), Turiec (Martin), Ponitrie (Leopoldov), Spiš (Levo a), Tekov(Ma a, Žiar nad Hronom) regions or in Bratislava.

To the territory of Bohemia and Moravia, the element appears to have been transferred fromSlovakia in the early 1990s. Despite the fact that the wire craft is viable and the bearers havetheir own guild, they do not feel the attachment to its origin, as to something that has not beencreated in Bohemia and Moravia, but has transmitted from Slovakia. Wire is used more or lessas an experimental element, for example, in the United States of America or in some WesternEuropean countries.

B.1. Description of the element:

Wire art and craft originated as a complementary walk-about job of peasants, aimed at repairingcookware and at producing and doorstep selling of simple utility objects made of wire and latersheet metal. It was formed since the 18th century in Slovakia in the northern part of Tren ínCounty (Upper Považie and Kysuce region) and later in the area of Northern Spiš region.

As a specific non-peasant occupation, it was a phenomenon that significantly influenced thetraditional culture of the area. The development of wire craft in the north-western part of Slovakiawas immediately influenced by the existence of wire-drawing manufactories and metal sheetmills in neighbouring Silesia and Moravia. As a result of competition, wire craftsmen often left thirhomes and even Austria-Hungary to work abroad, changing their craft from a purely local

phenomenon to an element that expanded almost across all continents. The development ofwire craft in its traditional form was stopped by WWI, after 1918 there was its significant declineof the craft and after WWII the craft in its classical form (as complementary walk-about job ofpeasants) almost disappeared.

In the artistic figurative art, the wire was first applied at the beginning of the 1940ies, when naivesculptures for the Wire craft Museum in Žilina were created. The moribund masters were stillpracticing the wire craft, but the new generation was very low-represented. In production ofobjects of practical use, as well as artistic production, the wire began actually to re-appear in the1960ies and the real interest in wire craft started only after 1990. New possibilities ofappreciation of the craft's heritage were sought in the formal, technological and expressivesense. This new approach started gradually alongside the production of the traditional objectsand there was visible a more significant shift into the decorative and artistic level. Thus, the wireis used in addition to folk artistic production, especially in art crafts, fine arts and jewellery.
