Rajgad Dnyanpeeth's Institute of Management Research and Development organised I day
Faculty Development Programme on Finance and Accounts" Based on revised MBA
syllabus 2019. The FDP was organized in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University.
from on 28ft July 2019.
Total 83 faculty members attended the Faculty Development Programme.
The purpose of the FDP was to understand structure, CO-PO mapping mechanism, frame
programme specific outcome (PSO) and End Semester Evaluation of MBA revised syllabus 2019
with specific focus on finance and accounts.
Dr. Mahesh Abale, Management Council Member, and Chairman Finance Board of SPPU was
invited as Chief Guest for the FDP. Dr. Shriram Nerlekar, Director, Marathwada Mitra Mandals
IMERT, BOS Member, Finance Board, SPPU and Dr. Bharat Kasar, Director, RMD CAMP
Education Society's RMD Institute of Management were invited as a Key Note Speaker for the
FDP. Chief guest, Key note speakers of FDP and Dr. D. B. Bharati, Director, Rajgad Institute of
Management Research and Development garland the Goddess Saraswati and inaugurated the
FDP. Inauguration was followed by welcome address given by Director Dr. D. B. Bharati.
First session was conducted by Dr. Mahesh Abale. Dr Mahesh Abale in his speech focused on
important changes in the revised syllabus and asked faculty members to implement the syllabus
properly.
Second session was conducted by Dr. Shriram Nerlekar, a Key Note Speaker for the FDP. He
conducted a session of CO Attainment on Accounts and finance specialisation subject. He
explained in detail process of CO Attainment, COs, POs, its linkage to all concurrent evaluation
parameters and then final overall CO Attainment. He also distributed the Excel formats of CO-
PO Attainment.

Third session was conducted by Prof. Kalyani Shrinivas, Professor &Head, MBA Department,
PES Modern College of Engineering was also invited as a key note speaker. She guided all
faeulty members on Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
After lunch session was conducted by Dr. Bharat Kasar, Director, RMD CAMP Education
Society's RMD Institute of Management. Dr. Bharat Kasar conducted a session on SPPU
Examination pattern, He explained about Bloom's Taxonomy and Examination Pattern in detail.
Thereafter a group activity session was conducted for all participants. The activity was based on
formulation of question bank for finance. Total ten groups were formed among the participants.
The group activity was conducted by Dr.Ashutosh Gadekar, Professor, Financial Management,
Sinhgad Institute of Management & Computer Applications, Dr. Shriprakash Soni, A Senior
faculty in Financial Management, Suryadatta Institute of Management, Dr. Hema Gwalani a
Senior faculty, MET's Bhujbal Knowledge City, Nasik, Dr. Shriram Nerlekar, Director, MM's
IMERT and Dr. Anishkumar Karia, Assistant Professor, SB Patil Institute of Management,
Chinchwad.
Google form was designed and circulated among all faculty members and all participants were
instructed to enter the questions as per Bloom's Taxonomy. In the end , all questions were
categorised, summarised and checked.
A valedictory session was organised at 5pm in the institute. Dr. Nilesh Berad, Director, Bhujbal
Knowledge City was invited as a chief Guest for Valedictory Session. Participation certificates
were distributed to all faculty members by the hands of distinguished guests.
At the end, Dr.Prajal<ta Warale proposed vote of thanks to management, Savitribai Phule Pune
University, all invited guests, key note speakers and participants .

The purpose of the FDP was to gather information on how to effectively write qualitative
matrices and enter data in quantitative matrices during preparation of NAAC SSR. Resource
person was Dr. Anita Khatke, Director of JSPM's Jayawantrao Sawant Institute of Management
& Research, Hadapsar, Pune.
She guided all faculty members on how to effectively write qualitative matrices. She highlighted
on major points of SSR. All faculties asked various doubts regarding SSR upload. She also
highlighted on quantitative matrices, data entry, how to enter year wise data, validations and
preparation of document necessary for upload. She also explained DVV process of validation of
data.
The FDP was organized on 6'n April 2019 from 2pm to 5pm. Dr.D.B.Bharati, Director of the
institute introduced guest speaker to the faculty members. Total fifteen staff members
participated in the competition.

The FDP was organized on 4th April 2019 from 1lpm to 2pm. Dr.D.B.Bharati, Director of the
institute introduced resource person Dr. Abhijeet Mancharkar to the faculty members. Total
twelve staff members participated in the competition.
A faculty development programme was arranged on the topic "IIQA and SSR Preparation" .
The purpose of the FDP was to gather information on how to fill IIQA and SSR. Speaker
discussed SSR Manual designed by NAAC. Steps to be followed while filling self study report.
He emphasised on preparation of all DVV related to quantitative matrices while uploading DVV.
It was also decided that upload documents and links to website must be ready before filling SSR.
All teaching and non-teaching clarified various doubts regarding IIQA filling and SSR
preparation.
In the end, FDP Coordinator Dr.Prajakta Warale proposed vote of thanks.

Description of Programme:
The institute has organized Two days Conference on o'Impact of GST on Small & Medium
Enterprises "under Quality Improvement Program (QIP) of Savitribai Phule Pune University on
21't and 22"d February 2019. Savitribai Phule Pune University granted a financial assistance of
Rs.2,00,000/-for organizing this conference.
According to the government GST is well structured and simplified taxation system wherein
Authoritative segregation of central and government and state government has been done.
Considering positive impact of GST on SMEs are reduction of the tax burden on new business
,improved logistics and faster delivery of services, Elimination of distinction between goods and
services ,The negative impacts are multiple regressions for Pan-India Businesses, Retums must
be filed on a monthly basis .Taking into consideration the vast impact of GST the topic of GST
was selected to add knowledee to students and staff of various other institutes.
Dr.Pramod Verma inaugurated the seminar. Director Dr.D.B.Bharati welcomed all the resource
persons and guest of honours for the conference. Dr.Yogeshwari Giri of Sanjay Ghodawat
Group, Kolhapur talked about GST ,its importance in todays scenario.
Dr.P.N.Shende of Saraswati Mahavidyalaya, Pune highlighted on recent developments with
respect to GST.
Next session was conducted by Dr. Sanjay Dharmadhikari of DY Patil Institute of Management,
Pune. Dr. Sanjay Dharmadhikari highlighted on effect of GST on Indian Economy. He gave
various illustrations of GST and its impact on economy and business as whole.
After lunch session was conducted by Dr.Shilpa Kankonkar of DY Patil Akurdi,Pune.
Kankonkar guided all students about Taxation policy , slabs, classification of goods and
slabs.

The institute had organized two days state level seminar on "Tourism Industry-
Opportunities and Challenges" under Quality Improvement Program (QIP) of Savitribai
Phule Pune University on l4th and l5nFebruary 2019. The University granted a financial
assistance of Rs.1, 00,000/-for organizingthis seminar.
Tourism is travel for pleasure or business also the theory and practice of touring, the business ofattracting accommodating and entertaining tourists and the business of operating tours. Tourism
brings large amount of income to the local economy in the form of payment of goods and
services. Tourism industry is on boom from last few years which has led to open number ofopportunities for aspirants who are interested to work in industry.
Speakers were invited from travel and tourism sector to enlighten students and staff on Tourism
and travel business.
Dr.Shubhada Marathe spoke about nature of tourism industry, its contribution in socio economic
development and growth whereas Dr. Ahuti Mishra spoke about types of tourism and
opportunities.
Dr.Shekhar Chavan and Dr.Kankandikar spoke about challenges and opportunities in tourism
industry.
The motive of the seminar was to cover areas of opportunities and challenges in tourism.

As a part of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and as a part of Accreditation of Institute
through NAAC one week faculty development program was organised in the institute for which
NAAC experts from other institutes were invited. The purpose of the FDP was to create
awareness about NAAC, its NAAC process, guidelines for process of accreditation. Speaker
discussed nature and process of NAAC. CO-PO Formation, CO-PO mapping mechanism was
also discussed in greater detail.
Resource Person Dr. Daniel Penkar, Director S.B.Patil Institute of Management discussed DTE
new regulations, NAAC process and guidelines and introduced to the different criteria. Dr.KirtiDharwadkar ,NAAC Coordinator discussed about CO-PO Mapping,CO-PO Parameters to be
considered ,mechanism of calculation of CO-PO, matrics for CO-PO Mapping. She also
discussed level of attainment of CO-PO-PSO. She also explained how to calculate level ofattainment.
All faculty members prepared CO-PO Mapping mechanism for their respective subject.

Using innovative methods of teaching is a crucial skill for teachers. Innovating our teachingstrategy is no easy feat. Teachers can improve student engagement, motivation and attainment
level. Thus an FDP was organized on"Innovative Teaching Pedagogy" on l6th December 2016.Dr' B' N. Shivale, Director, Aditya Institute of Management and Dr. Rupali prabhugaonkar ofPratibha Institute of Management were invited as resource persons.

Conference was based on Make in India initiative which was launched on September 25,2014,withthe primary goal of making India a global manufacturing hub, by encouraging both multinational as
well as domestic companies to manufactwe their products within the country. The initiative aims to
raise the contribution of the manufacturing sector to 25%o of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by
the year 2025 fuom its current 16%. Make in India has introduced multiple new initiatives,
promoting foreign direct investment, implementing intellectual property rights and developing the
manufacturing sector.
In line with above theme, a National conference was arranged highlighting the opportunities
brought through Make In India Campaign.
Dr.Sanjay Dharmadhikari, Dr. Kuldeep Charak, Dr. Sudhakar Jadhavar. Dr.E.B. Khedkar and
Dr.Shirole were invited as a resource persons for the National Conference.
Dr.Sanjay Dharmadhikari highlighted on the four pillars of the initiatives , New Processes, New
Infrastructure. New Sectors and New Mindset.
Dr. Kuldeep Charak said that this campaign will lead to more R&D and crebtion of a hi-
tech industry in India.

A workshop was otganized for non-teaching staff on effective office administration onllll2l20l6.The efficient performance of all sections in an institute. They act as a connecting linkbetween the senior management and the employees. They provide motivation to the work force and
make them realize the goals of the organization.
Dr'Bagul ,Director, Sai Balaji Institute of Management was invited as a resource person. He guidedall staff members about office administration and told that is the system of arranging, sorting out,organizing and controlling office exercises with a view to accomplish business targets.. Theaccomplishment of a business relies on the effectiveness of its office.
He highlighted the importance of various sections of the office such as student section, scholarship
section' accounts section, admission section and exam section etc. Further he explained about the
alrangement of files in admin office. What types of registers to maintain and how to maintain the
registers.
The workshop was very useful for non-teaching staff.

Research studies are importemt because these contribute to knowledge and progress on a conl'usion,
dilemnra. 'lihe pur;:ose of are search paper is to give your ideas and otrrinions about the topic or
problem and to use other sources to support your position. A research paper analyzes a perspective
or argues a point. Regardless of the tlpe of research paper authors are writing, author
finished research paper should present his/her own thinking backed up by others' ideas ancl
infbrmation.
In line with this an FDP workshop rvas organized on "How to write research papers?" for all faculty
members. Dr.Shilpa Kulkarni was invited as a guest speaker for the workshop. Total fifteen
members attended the seminar.
Dr. Shilpa Kulkarni explained the types of research paper. Some research papers are theoretical,
some are descriptive, and some are evolutionary in nature. She also explained about body of the
research paper starting with introduction chapter, importance of study, literature study, problem
statement, research methodology, data analysis, findings, suggestions and conclusion.
Further she also showed some of the ideal research papers to faculty members. All faculty members
understood how to write research papers.

A half day session was organised on 71312015 on MS Office for all teaching non-teaching staff. The
purpose of the half Day session is to update the commerce faculty with the use of MS Excel in
solving the problems in daily admin work. As such the programme is of immediate relevance to
those who are likely to use MS Excel.
Focus of session was on literacy about MS Excel, financial functions, linking of the excel sheets,
creation of the formulae, how to use pivot tables and look up functions.
The resource person was Prof. Prajil<ta Warale, a renowned academician with over a decades of
teaching experience at the postgraduate level. She was working as Assistant professor with Shri.
Shivaji Maratha Society's Institute of Management and Research, Arnayeshwar,Parvati,Pune-O9
She showed the demo of MS excel .She explained about how MS Excel can be used in academics-
such as teaching plan, preparation of academic calendar, result analysis. Further she also explained
about use of MS Excel in research-such as calculation of mean, median, mode,correlation
,regression, che square test , project preparation, pivot tables and chart etc.

A guidance session was organized on September 41h,2014 at4pm. The key speakerfor
the session was Dr. D. B. Bharati. The session started with discussion with the students to
understand their career objectives and their motive for appearing for PhD exams'
Sir highlighted the importance of Ph.D. degree. He said that the PhD is perhaps the most
important degree in the world. lt is the most valuable asset that an aspiring academician
can have. PhD research will help to improve your abilities to understand and solve
problems, increase your confidence, make yourself a better communicator and gain skills
that may lead to a better job, even in many fields apart from academics. lt is a foundation
that can lead to the publishing of papers, awarding of grants and other kinds of recognition
by your peers. lmportantly, it is a UGC requirement for teachers in universities to be
promoted to associate professor.
Further Sir gave the tips to the students how to practice and solve the papers to crack the
exams. He has also shared his students experience with how they did preparation and
cracked PhD PET. Sir also informed the how Ph D can help in his career and can be
useful to students' career. Sir highlighted on variclus type of books, internet sources are
available in market for preparation of these examinations. Students also raised the
question to clear their doubt.
In the last Prof. Roshna Jaid proposed the vote of thanks and concluded the session.
