verstehen Sie diesen Bulletin als einen Rückblick auf das Jahr 2013, ohne Übertreibung das Jahr der KOMA Modulararchitekur. Nach mehrjährigen Anstrengungen, den Modularaufbau auf das Ni­veau der Modulararchitektur zu bringen, sehen wir wesentliche architektonische Werke, die den Modu­laraufbau auf ein ganz anderes Niveau heben. Der bedeutendste Beleg ist zweifellos die gewonnene Ausschreibung für den Aufbau des neuen Ausstel­lungspavillons für die Weltausstellung EXPO 2015 in Mailand. Der Pavillon unserer Hofarchitekten Chybík und Krištof hat tatsächlich das Potenzial, die Tschechische Republik im glänzenden Modularlicht zu zeigen. Erwähnenswert sind sicherlich auch un­ser Multifunktionsgebäude in Vizovice (Wisowitz) oder die ersten Trapezmodule in Brünn. Die neue Technologie für Plattenproduktion unterstützt neue innovative Entwürfe für modulare Bauten.

Es ist ersichtlich, dass der Modulbau sehr interes­sante architektonische Ausprägungen bieten kann und zugleich seine einzigartigen Eigenschaften behält. Und mit diesen Erkenntnissen freue ich mich auf das, was das Jahr 2014 bringt.

Dear fans of the KOMA modular world,

This bulletin looks back at 2013, which without exaggeration was the year of modular KOMA architecture. After years of efforts to raise modular construction to modular architecture, in 2013 we saw several significant architectural projects that took modular construction to a brand new level. The most significant success was undoubtedly win­ning the tender for the construction of the Czech pavilion at the EXPO 2015 in Milan. This pavilion, designed by our architects Chybík and Krištof, has the potential to show the Czech Republic in a good modular light. Also worth mentioning is our reali­zation of a multi­functional building on the compa­ny’s premises in Vizovice, and also the first realizati­on of trapezoid­shaped CITY modules in Brno. Also the newly installed technology for panel production will certainly support new and daring architectural designs of modular buildings.

The above shows that modular construction can maintain its unique properties, yet at the same time offer a very interesting architectural concept. Knowing this, I can only look forward to what the year 2014 will bring.

Vážení příznivci modulárního KOMA světa,

Tento bulletin můžete vnímat také jako ohlédnu­tí za rokem 2013, který byl bez nadsázky rokem modulární KOMA architektury. Po mnohaletém úsilí o povznesení modulární výstavby na modulární ar­chitekturu jsme v tomto roce zaznamenali význam­né architektonické počiny, které modulární výstavbu posunují na zcela jinou úroveň. Nejvýznamnějším úspěchem je bezesporu vyhraná soutěž na výstavbu českého pavilonu na výstavě EXPO 2015 v Miláně. Tento pavilon, který navrhli naši dvorní architekti Chybík a Krištof, má skutečně potenciál ukázat Českou republiku v dobrém modulárním světle. Za zmínku jistě stojí také naše realizace multifunkč­ní budovy v areálu naší firmy ve Vizovicích, a také první realizace lichoběžníkových CITY modulů v Brně. V neposlední řadě i nově instalovaná tech­nologie výroby panelů jistě podpoří další odvážné architektonické návrhy modulárních staveb.

Výše zmíněná slova deklarují, že modulární výstavba si umí zachovat své jedinečné vlastnosti, a přitom nabídnout velmi zajímavé architektonické pojetí. I s tímto vědomím se nemohu než těšit, co nám přinese rok 2014.

In Otrokovice (Otrokowitz) in Mähren ist seit Anfang des Schuljahres ein moderner, energie­sparender Kindergarten in Betrieb, der dank dieser Eigenschaft einzigartig in Tschechien ist. Den Aufbau der OSKÁREK Kindergärten ermöglichte die Firma Lapp Kabel, die weltweit arbeitstätige Eltern unterstützt.

Der Kindergarten wurde nach dem Entwurf des Architektenbüro S­projekt plus aus Zlín gebaut, den Innenraum entwarf Vladimira Bukvicová der Firma Benjamín. Der Kindergarten hat 2 Klassen für in­sgesamt 16 ältere Kinder. Die dritte Klasse ist für Kin­der bis 3 Jahre bestimmt. Der Kindergarten ist mit einer Küche und Betriebsräumen ausgestattet. Auf dem Dach befinden sich Sonnenkollektoren, an den Fenstern sind orangenfarbene Vordächer eingesetzt, deren Farbe mit der eleganten orange­grauen Fassa­de korrespondiert. Der Innenraum wird durch eine Bodenheizung beheizt, das Gebäude ist klimatisiert. Das Gelände des Kindergartens wirkt sehr leicht, aber trotzdem elegant und unaufdringlich.

This school year, a modern low­energy kindergarten, the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic, was opened in Otrokovice near Zlín. The OSKÁREK kin­dergarten was made possible by the Lapp Kabel Com­pany, which supports working parents worldwide.

The OSKÁREK kindergarten was built according to an architectural design by the S­projekt plus a. s. Company in Zlín, while its interior was designed by Mgr. Vladimíra Bukvicová from the Benjamín s. r. o. Company. OSKÁREK has two classes for sixteen older children and a third class for ten children up to three years of age. Apart from the classrooms, the facility has a state­of­the­art kitchen and utility rooms. There are solar panels on the roof, and the windows are equipped with exterior blinds and orange awnings that communicate with the orange parts of the facade. The facade comes in a combin­ation of elegant grey and lively orange colours. The interior uses floor heating and the entire building is air­conditioned. The premises of the kindergarten look playful, yet elegant and unobtrusive.

V Otrokovicích nedaleko Zlína od nového školního roku funguje moderní nízkoenergetická modulární školka, která je v České republice jedinečná. Vznik firemní školky OSKÁREK umožnila firma Lapp Ka­bel, která celosvětově podporuje pracující maminky.

Školka OSKÁREK byla vybudována podle architek­tonického návrhu firmy S­projekt plus a. s. ze Zlína, přičemž o návrh interiéru se postarala paní Mgr. Vla­dimíra Bukvicová z firmy Benjamín s. r. o. OSKÁREK má dvě třídy, které jsou určeny šestnácti starším dětem. Třetí třída je určena deseti dětem do tří let. Kromě tříd je školka vybavena vlastní špičkovou ku­chyní a provozními místnostmi. Na střeše jsou umís­těny sluneční kolektory, okna jsou osazena venkov­ními roletami a markýzami v oranžové barvě, která komunikuje s oranžovými částmi fasády. Fasáda je vyvedena v barevné kombinaci elegantní šedé a živé oranžové. V interiéru se nachází podlahové topení a celá budova je klimatizovaná. Kompletní areál školky působí hravě, přesto elegantně a decentně.

An architectural design by architects Chybík and Krištof and the KOMA Company has won the tender for the realization of the Czech pavilion for the EXPO 2015 in Milan. If anyone was convinced that modular constructions had no future in the world of architecture and that they could be used only in cases of emergency, they will be surprised to learn that this construction technology will represent the Czech Republic at a world fair showcasing the very best that individual countries can offer. KOMA’s win of the tender for the Czech EXPO 2015 pavilion was one of the company’s biggest successes ever. Thanks to this victory, modular architecture is also pro­gressing on the domestic scene, which represents a potential for success even abroad.

The overall concept of the EXPO 2015 was entrusted to the world­famous pair of Swiss architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron (creators of the Bird’s Nest for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing). Their aim is to limit the use of short­term fashionable eccentricities and create a well­organized and compact complex. Our design succeeded thanks to the effort to meet the requirements of the creators of the overall concept.

Architektonický návrh od dvorních architektů Chybí­ka a Krištofa a společnosti KOMA vyhrál soutěž na re­alizaci českého pavilonu pro EXPO 2015 v Miláně.

Pokud byl někdo přesvědčen o tom, že modulární stavby nemají ve světě architektury žádnou budouc­nost a že mohou být využity pouze pro případy nouze, bude více než překvapen zprávou, že právě tato stavební technologie bude reprezentovat Čes­kou republiku na světové přehlídce toho nejlepšího, čím se dnes mohou jednotlivé země pochlubit. KOMA totiž vyhrála soutěž na realizaci českého pavilonu pro EXPO 2015 v Miláně a zaznamenala tak jeden ze svých historicky největších úspěchů. A modulární architektura se díky tomu výrazně prosazuje i na domácí scéně, jež skýtá potenciál úspěchu i za hranicemi.

Celkovou koncepcí světové výstavy EXPO 2015 byla pověřena světově proslulá dvojice švýcarských archi tektů Jacques Herzog a Pierre de Meuron (mimo jiné autoři stadionu Ptačí hnízdo pro olympijské hry v Pekingu 2008). Jejich snahou je omezení krátkodobých módních výstřelků a vytvo­ření přehledného kompaktního celku. A právě díky

snaze vyhovět požadavkům autorů celkové koncep­ce výstavy náš návrh uspěl.

Porota, kterou tvořili architekti Eva Jiřičná, Miroslav Řepa, Zdeněk Lukeš, Michael Klang, Vladimír Sou­kenka a David Vávra, ocenila zacílení na podstatu, tedy na trvalou udržitelnost, na úkor krátkodobého efektu překvapení. „Komorní a kompaktní formou pavilonu se snažíme vyhnout tvarovým a tendenč-ním trapnostem upadajícím v zapomnění,“ vysvětlují vítězové z architektonického ateliéru Chybik+Kris­tof Associated Architects svůj úhel pohledu. Český pavilon z KOMA modulů totiž po skončení výstavy nezůstane na místě, ale moduly budou využity sekundárně. Buď může být použit celý pavilon s ba­zénem pro komerční účely na novém místě, nebo lze využít jednotlivá podlaží. Restaurace s bazénem se přesune do rekreační oblasti, jedno podlaží lze předělat na mateřskou školku nebo pro humanitár­ní účely, další podlaží například na malou adminis­trativní budovu.

Je tedy zřejmé, že variabilita a možnost sekundár­ního využití modulů byla pro porotu důležitým aspektem.

Der Entwurf des Architekturbüros Chybík+Krištof und der Firma KOMA gewann die Ausschreibung für einen Ausstellungspavillon der Tschechischen Republik für die EXPO 2015 in Mailand. Bedenken, Modulbauten hätten keine Zukunft und seien nur für den Notstand geeignet, widerlegt die Tatsache, dass genau diese Bautechnologie nun die Tsche­chische Republik auf der EXPO 2015 repräsentieren wird. KOMA gewann nämlich die Ausschreibung für einen Ausstellungspavillon für Tschechien für die EXPO 2015 und erreichte so einen der größten Erfolge in seiner bisherigen Geschichte. Die Mo­dulararchitektur wird sich damit auch zu Hause durchsetzen und bietet ebenso mehr Erfolgschan­cen im Ausland.

Das Gesamtkonzept der EXPO 2015 kommt von den weltweit bekannten Architekten Jacques Herzog und Pierre de Meuron, Autoren des Olympiastadions „Vogelnest“ in Peking. Ihr Ziel ist, einen kompakten Komplex zu schaffen und kurzlebige Modeexzesse zu eliminieren. Und eben Dank unsers Bestrebens, diesen Anforderungen gerecht zu werden, hatte der KOMA Entwurf Erfolg.

Die Jury, bestehend aus bedeutenden Architek­ten wie Eva Jiřičná, Miroslav Řepa, Zdeněk Lukeš, Michael Klang, Vladimír Soukenka und David Vávra, schätzte vor allem die Substanz der Modular­architektur, ihre Beständigkeit im Gegensatz zum kurzlebigen Überraschungseffekten. „Unsere intime und kompakte Form des Pavillons vermeidet peinliche Formen und Tendenzen, die bald in Vergessenheit ge-raten“, erklären die Sieger Chybik+Kristof Associated Architects ihre Ansicht. Der tschechische Pavillon bleibt nämlich nach dem Ausstellungsende nicht am gleichen Platz, sondern die Module werden anderweitig weiterverwendet. So wird der gesamte Pavillon mit Swimmingpool entweder gewerbliche genutzt oder es werden die Stockwerke getrennt verwendet, z.B. das Restaurant mit Pool in einem Erholungsgebiet, das eine Stockwerk für ein Kin­dergarten oder für humanitäre Zwecke, ein anderes Stockwerk für ein kleines Bürogebäude.

Es ist offensichtlich, dass Variabilität und Wie­derverwendung der Module für die Jury ein wesent­liches Kriterium war.

The jury, made up of architects Eva Jiřičná, Miroslav Řepa, Zdeněk Lukeš, Michael Klang, Vladimír Soukenka and David Vávra, appreciated its focus on the essence, i.e. sustainable development, at the expense of the short­term effect of surprise. “With the chamber and compact character of the pavilion, we have tried to avoid shape and other tendentious oddities that will soon be forgotten.” the creators of the winning design from the Chybik+Kristof Associ­ated Architects explain their point of view. After the fair, the Czech pavilion constructed using KOMA modules will find a secondary use. Either the whole pavilion with the pool can be used for commercial purposes at a new location, or the individual levels can be used separately. The restaurant with the pool may be moved to a recreation centre; one floor can be modified for the purposes of a kindergarten or for humanitarian purposes; another floor may be turned into a small administrative building.

It is clear that the variability and the possibility of secondary use of the modules was an important aspect in the jury’s decision.

The long­awaited multi­functional modular build­ing on the premises of the KOMA Company has been finished. Apart from its main purpose, the cafeteria and modern lounge for the company employe es will also be used for cultural and social events.

The new modular building, also designed by the architects Chybík and Krištof, allows the company’s employees and business partners to identify with the goals of the KOMA Company. KOMA is a compa­ny of innovations, dynamic development, a modern production system and quality products which can not only be very practical, but also attractive. KOMA’s director, Stanislav Martinec, explains the company’s intention as follows: “For a number of years, we have been trying to popularize modern and quality modular architecture, so it was clear we had to build the facility using our state-of-the-art large-format Comfort line modules.”

The new multi­functional building thus corresponds with the company’s philosophy, according to which quality products can be created only by skilled and content employees. The architectural design also

Nová modulární budova, která je opět navržena architekty Chybíkem a Krištofem, umožňuje všem zaměstnancům, ale i obchodním partnerům iden­tifikovat se s cíli společnosti KOMA. Ta je firmou plnou inovací, dynamického vývoje, moderní­ho systému výroby a kvalitních produktů, které mohou být nejen velmi praktické, ale také krásné. Ředitel KOMA Stanislav Martinec záměr společnos­ti vysvětluje takto: „Již řadu let se snažíme popula-rizovat moderní a kvalitní modulární architekturu, a proto bylo jasné, že se sami musíme rozhodnout pro výstavbu našimi špičkovými velkoformátovými moduly řady Comfort.“

Nová multifunkční budova tak odpovídá filozo­fii firmy, jež tvrdí, že kvalitní produkty mohou vytvářet pouze kvalitní a spokojení zaměstnanci. Architektonický návrh proto elegantně řeší také in­teriér budovy. Vnitřní prostory odrážejí nejnovější

trendy, jsou barvené a působí svěžím a příjemným dojmem. Navíc vytvářejí pro lidi prostory, kam rádi zajdou a kde si odpočinou od práce navzdory tomu, že jsou stále v areálu firmy. Budova je díky velikým oknům nádherně prosvětlená. Exteriérové řešení působí již na první dojem atraktivně. Nejde jen o zajímavou skladbu modulů a terasy, ale také o nápadité fasádní řešení, na kterém se v těchto dnech pracuje (projekt počítá s osazením sekun­dární fasády z tahokovu, která bude instalována do konce února 2014).

Marketingový ředitel KOMA Martin Hart tento projekt s odstupem hodnotí následovně: „Jsem rád, že jsem součástí firmy, která se stará o své zaměst-nance takovým způsobem, ať už je to ve formě mo-derního výrobního závodu nebo zázemí. Jsem hrdý na to, že KOMA má tuto filozofii. Úspěch každého podnikání je totiž ve schopnosti vytvořit funkční, pracovitý a loajální tým. Das lange angekündigte Multifunktionsgebäude auf dem KOMA Gelände ist fertig. Die Kantine und eine moderne Sozialanlage für Mitarbeiter dienen auch gesellschaftlichen Anlässen.

Das neue, modere Gebäude nach dem Entwurf der Architekten Chybík und Krištof hilft den Mitarbeitern sowie Geschäftspartnern, sich mit den Firmenzielen zu identifizieren. KOMA ist eine Firma voll Innovationen, dynamischer Ent wick­lung, modernem Produktionssystem und Quali­tätsprodukten, die nicht nur praktisch, sondern auch schön anmuten. Stanislav Martinec, KOMA Direktor, erklärt das Firmenvorhaben: „Schon mehrere Jahre versuchen wir, die Popularität von Modulararchitektur zu steigern, und deshalb war es klar, das wir unsere einzigartigen Großformatmo-dule der Reihe Comfort verwenden.“ Das neue Multifunktionsgebäude bestätigt so die Firmenphi­losophie, dass Spitzenprodukte nur von Spitzen­mitarbeitern geschaffen werden können. Der architektonische Entwurf löst elegant die neueste Trends reflektierenden Innenräume des Gebäudes.

Sie sind farbig, wirken frisch und freundlich. So wurde für die Mit arbeiter ein Raum bereitgestellt, der sich zwar auf dem Firmengelände befindet, jedoch der Erholung dient. Das Gebäude ist dank großen Fenstern wunderbar durchleuchtet. Der Außenraum wirkt schon auf den ersten Blick sehr attraktiv. Es handelt sich nicht nur um eine interes­sante Kombination von Modulen und Terrassen, sondern auch um eine innovative Fassadenlösung, welche derzeit gebaut wird. So wird bis Ende 2014 eine Streckmetallfassade installiert.

Herr Martin Hart, KOMA Marketing Direktor, kom­mentiert dieses Projekt so: „Ich bin sehr froh, Teil einer Firma sein zu dürfen, die sich auf diese Weise um ihre Mitarbeiter kümmert. Ich bin stolz auf die KOMA Philosophie. Der Erfolg jedes Unternehmen besteht nämlich in der Fähigkeit, ein leistungsfähiges, fleißiges und loyales Team zu bilden. Und unsere Pläne enden damit nicht. Wir freuen uns auf neue Herausforderungen und deren Umsetzungen.“

addresses the building’s interior. The multi­coloured interior reflects the latest trends and looks fresh and pleasant. Moreover, the building provides employ­ees with a space where they can feel comfortable, and though still on the company premises, they can get some rest from their work there. Thanks to its large windows, plenty of light enters the building. Already at first sight, the exterior is very attractive. The building is not only an interesting combination of modules and a terrace, but it also features an ima­ginative facade, which is currently being worked on (the building’s secondary facade of expanded metal will be installed by the end of February 2014).

KOMA’s Marketing Director, Martin Hart, evalu­ates the project: “I am glad to be part of a company which takes care of its employees, whether in the form of a modern production plant or employee facilities. I am proud of the fact that KOMA has this philosophy. The success of every business lies in its ability to create a functional, productive and loyal team. The company management also has other plans, and we are look ing forward to new challenges and their execution.”

/ Neue KOMA Modularkantine endlich eröffnet!

KOMA hat in sein Fassadenportfolio auch die Fassandenverkleideprofile Deceuninck eingeführt. Es handelt sich um eine entlüftete, durchfärbte Fassade mit Sichtfuge.

Zum ersten Mal wurde sie an der Modularschule in De Klinge, Belgien, verwendet, wo man den Kapazi­tätsmangel im ersten Schritt mit einem temporären Containerbau löste. Dieser wurde jedoch abgebaut und ersetzt durch eine neue, dauerhafte Schule, die nicht nur besser aussieht, sondern auch eine bessere technische Qualität und Benutzerfreundlichkeit hat.

Der Anbau aus 7 Modulen erweiterte die Schule um 2 Lehrräume, Ambulanzzimmer und ein Zimmer für Logopädie. Das Gebäude weist eine Feuerbestän­digkeit RF 60 aus und erfüllt Dämm­ und Luftdich­tigkeitsansprüche gemäß EPB­Normen.

Der Schuldirektor Herr Bart Van Overmeire: „Ich persönlich bin sehr zufrieden mit der Auswahl des Bausystems. Der Klasseninnenraum sieht eher nach dem eines Ziegelgebäudes als nach einem Modulbau aus. Zusätzlich erfüllt der Bau die neuesten Lärm-schutznormen.“

KOMA zavedla do svého portfolia fasád také vnější plastové palubky Deceuninck. Je to fasáda odvětrá­vaná, probarvená a s přiznanou drážkou.

Prvně byla použita na stěnách modulární školy v belgickém městě De Klinge, která nejprve řešila nedostatek kapacity dočasnou kontejnerovou stav­bou. Ta ale byla demontována a nahradila ji nová modulární škola trvalého charakteru, která nejen lépe vypadá, ale má také pochopitelně lepší technic­ké řešení a je uživatelsky příjemnější.

Přístavba se skládá ze sedmi modulů a díky ní se škola rozšířila o dvě učebny, ošetřovnu a logope­dickou místnost. Budova má požární odolnost RF 60 a splňuje nároky na izolace a vzduchotěsnost budovy dle EPB norem.

Nová školka zaujala i místní noviny, kde se ředitel školy De Bron, pan Bart Van Overmeire, vyjadřuje k výstavbě takto: „Osobně jsem velmi spokojen s výbě-rem stavebního systému. Interiér tříd se podobá inte-riérům zděných staveb více než modulární výstavbě. Navíc stavba splňuje nejnovější hlukové standardy.“

It was first used on the walls of the modular school in the Belgian town of De Klinge, which solved the need for additional capacity by using container con­struction. It was later taken apart and replaced with a new, permanent modular school, which not only looks better, but also represents a better techno logic­al solution and is more user­friendly.

Thanks to the extension the school gained two add­itional classrooms, an infirmary and a room for spe­ech therapy. The building’s fire resistance is rated at RF 60, and it meets the insulation and air­ tightness requirements of the EPB standards.

In the local newspaper, the De Bron school prin­cipal, Mr. Bart Van Overmeire, commented on the construction, saying: “Personally, I am very content with the choice of construction system. The interior of the classrooms looks more like that of brick buildings rather than a modular construction. Moreover, the building meets the latest soundproofing standards.”

Auch im Nahe Prag gelegenen Uhříněves (Aur­schinewes) spürt man die Folgen des Babybooms in Tschechien. Die Stadtverwaltung löste diese Situation durch einen Modularschulaufbau mit 4 Klassen. KOMA wurde aufgrund des schnellen und zuverlässigen Aufbaus seiner Module aus­gewählt, den man in den Schulferien durchführen kann, ohne den Unterricht zu stören. Die Klassen sind geräumig, hell und erfüllen sämtliche hygie­nische Anforderungen inkl. Luftundurchlässigkeit zwischen Klassen sowie erforderlicher Raumhöhe. Es stehen auch Umkleideräume für Kinder und Toiletten (auch für Rollstuhlfahrer) zur Verfügung.

Die Schule wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit der Firma Pradast ausgebaut, welche die Ausführung übernommen hat. Das gesamte Modulgebäude ist mit einem Wärmedämmungssystem mit Putz verkleidet, sodass es zur Gestaltung des in traditio­neller Bauweise errichteten Schulkomplexes passt. Das Gebäude befindet sich in einer Stelle, an der es keine Zufahrt für Manipulationstechnik gab. Dies wurde durch den Einsatz mobiler Fahrbahnen gelöst, die man schnell demontieren kann.

V obci Uhříněves na okraji Prahy v České republi­ce se projevily důsledky babyboomu, a proto tuto situaci zastupitelé městské části řešili modulární přístavbou čtyř tříd. KOMA výstavba byla vybrána proto, že se jedná o rychlou a spolehlivou výstavbu, kterou lze realizovat během prázdnin a která tak nenaruší chod vyučování.

Třídy jsou prostorné, prosvětlené a splňují všechny hygienické předpisy včetně požadované vzduchové neprůzvučnosti mezi sousedícími třídami a výšky stropů. Ve škole nechybí ani šatny a toalety, včetně toalet pro vozíčkáře.

Školu jsme vybudovali ve spolupráci se stavební firmou Pradast, která provedla všechny dokon­čovací práce. Celá modulární budova je opatřena zateplovacím systémem s omítkou tak, aby zapadla do kontextu původního školského komplexu, který byl stavěn tradičním způsobem výstavby.

Budova byla postavena v místech, kde chyběly pří­jezdové cesty pro manipulační techniku. Tento pro­blém jsme elegantně vyřešili použitím mobilních vozovek, které byly po návozu modulů a po skonče­ní jeřábových prací rychle demontovány.

The town of Uhříněves on the outskirts of Prague, Czech Republic, was experiencing the effects of the baby­boom, and the local councillors resolved the situation by choosing a modular construction for the four classrooms. The KOMA construction system was used, because it is fast and reliable, and the school building could be realized over the summer holidays.

The classrooms are spacious, light, and meet all the sanitary requirements, including sound insulation between adjacent classrooms as well as the ceiling height. In the school, there are changing rooms and restrooms, including a wheelchair accessible toilet.

We built the school in cooperation with the Pradast construction company, which carried out all the finishing works. The entire modular building uses a heat insulation system covered with stucco so it would fit in the context of the original school complex, which was built in the traditional construction style.

The school was built in a place with no access roads for heavy vehicles. We resolved this problem elegantly by the use of mobile roads, which after delivery of the modules and their installation by a crane were quickly taken apart.

1/ KOMA Katalog für Städte und Gemeinde

KOMA setzt die Produktion seiner neuen, zuneh­mend als interessante Zeitschriften gestalteten Werbematerialien fort. Die letzte Marketingaktion auf diesem Gebiet ist ein KOMA­Katalog für Städte und Gemeinden mit einer hochwertigen Graphik und Text. Dieser Katalog ist vor allem für eine enge Zielgruppe bestimmt: die Staatsverwaltung. Wir glauben, dass die Staatsverwaltungsmitarbeiter den individuellen Zugang unserer Firma bewerten kön­nen und die Modulararchitektur als eine Bauweise anerkennen, die eben gerade der Staatsverwaltung viele Vorteile bringt.

3/ Der Fernsehstab des russischen 1. Kanal war in Vizovice

Russische Journalisten drehten in Vizovice eine Re­portage über Modularbauten als die optimale Wahl für von Naturkatastrophen zerstörte Gebiete. Die Reportage wurde während der Hauptnachrichten gesendet, da die Gemeinde Mendeleev bei Komso­molsk­am­Amur im Sommer von vernichtenden Überflutungen getroffen wurde – tausende Haushal­te wurden zerstört. Die Journalisten wählten KOMA wegen ihres guten Renommees und führten ein Interview mit dem Leiter der Investitions­ und Ver­mögensverwaltung, Herrn Petr Chval. Die Reportage stellte den KOMA Aufbau als die ideale Lösung für die gegenwärtige Krise in dem Gebiet heraus.

KOMA continues to publish new promotional ma­terials, which look more like an interesting maga­zine than ordinary “promotional”. The most recent marketing project, which uses a quality design and copywriting, is the KOMA catalogue for towns and villages. This catalogue is intended for a relatively narrow target group – public administration. We believe that public administration employees will appreciate KOMA’s individual approach demon­strated in this catalogue and give modular con­struction and architecture more thought, as this type of construction offers excellent advantages for this sector.

3/ A TV crew from Russian Channel 1 visits Vizovice

Russian journalists came to Vizovice to film a report on modular construction, which is the ideal choice of construction in areas struck by natural disasters. The report was part of the main newscast, as the village of Mendeleev near Komsomolsk­on­­Amur was hit by a devastating flood, which destro­yed thousands of homes. The reporters chose our company because of its renown, and did an inter­view with KOMA’s Investment and Asset Manager, Petr Chval. Thanks to videos of KOMA construc­t ion and production, modular construction was portrayed as an ideal solution to the current crisis in Russia’s Far East region.

3/ Televizní štáb ruského 1. kanálu byl ve Vizovicích

Ruští novináři točili ve Vizovicích reportáž o modu­lární výstavbě, která je ideální volbou pro výstavbu na území zasaženém přírodní katastrofou. Repor­táž byla součástí hlavní zpravodajské relace, neboť osadu Mendělejev u Komsomolsku na Amuru v létě zasáhla ničivá povodeň a pohřbila tisíce domovů. Naši společnost KOMA si novináři vybrali kvůli vysokému renomé a s vedoucím správy investic a majetku panem Petrem Chvalem natočili rozho­vor. V reportáži byla díky videím z KOMA výstavby a výroby modulární výstavba demonstrována jako ideální řešení pro současnou krizi v této oblasti Dálného východu.

5/ Ein Kulturhaus gebaut mit Flat-packs

Wir verwenden den Flat­Pack­Ausbau recht oft. Jedoch ein aus montiert auf die Baustelle gefahre­nen Großformatmodulen bestehender Bau ist ein Unikat. Das Kulturhaus im Dorf Rybník (Riebnig) in der Tschechischen Republik mit seiner Fläche von 324 m2 bilden 10 Großformatmodule Comfort, wobei der Saal (6 Module) eine lichte Höhe von 4,3 Metern aufweist. Für Sozialräume (Küche, WC, Lager und Klubraum) wurden 4 Standardmodule mit lichter Höhe 2,8 m verwendet.

6/ KOMA Modular Construction verkürzt seinen Namen

Hiermit teilen wir allen Freunden und Geschäfts­partnern der Modularchitektur und der Gesellschaft KOMA MODULAR CONSTRUCTION mit, dass die Firma Anfang 2014 den neuen Handelsnamen KOMA Modular s.r.o. nutzen wird. Die Geschäfts­führung hat sich für diesen Schritt nicht wegen des allgemeinen Trends des „Verkürzens“ entschieden, sondern insbesondere weil der ursprüngliche Handelsname KOMA MODULAR CONSTRUCTION aus einer Zeit stammt, in welcher mit dem Wort „construction“ die Spezialisierung der Produktion herausgestellt wurde. Heute hat sich das Verständ­nis über die Marke KOMA derart etabliert, dass dies nicht mehr nötig scheint.

4/ Montage in den Schweizer Alpen

Ein Schweizer Investor nutzte die leichte Kon­struktion der Modularbauten bei der Errichtung eines Kindergartens voll aus. Im unzugängli­chen Gelände der Schweizer Alpen führte er die Montage unserer Module mit Hilfe eines Hub­schraubers durch. Der Rohbau erfolgte innerhalb von 1 Tag und wenige Tage später konnte der Bau möbliert und in Betrieb genommen werden. Der Kindergarten ist im Dorf Hilterfingen zu finden. Das Beispiel zeigt, dass es keine Barrieren für ei­nen Modularaufbau gibt und man diesen überall in der Welt durchführen kann. Die Technik ist auch bei extremen Bedingungen anwendbar, in welchen ein konventioneller Bau unmöglich ist.

5/ Cultural centre made using large-format flat-packs

The construction system using so­called flat­packs is used quite frequently; however, delivering buildings made up of large­format modules flat­­packed is rather unique. The cultural centre in Rybník, Czech Republic, with an area of 324 sq. meters, consists of 10 large­format Comfort modules, and the vertical clearance of the hall, comprised of 6 modules, must have a clear height of 4.3 meters. The centre’s facilities, i.e. a kitchenet­te, restrooms, storage rooms and a clubroom, were built from 4 standard modules with a clear height of 2.8 meters.

6/ KOMA Modular Construction shortens its name

We would like to announce to all fans of modular architecture and business partners of the KOMA MO­DULAR CONSTRUCTION Company that as of New Year’s Day 2014, our company is using a new name – KOMA Modular s. r. o. The company man age ment’s decision was made because the original name, KOMA MODULAR CONSTRUCTION, served its purpose at a time when the word ‘construction’ communicated the focus of the company’s production.

KOMA Modular is a pioneer in modular construc­tion and architecture in the Czech Republic, and the current awareness of the KOMA brand has reached a level where everyone knows what business the company is in.

4/ Assembly in the Swiss Alps

A Swiss investor took advantage of the lightweight construction of modular buildings in building an extension to a kindergarten in the city of Hilterfin­gen. In the inaccessible terrain of the Swiss Alps, the KOMA modules were assembled using a helicopter. The basic assembly was completed in one day and the school was ready to open a few days later. This example proves that KOMA modular construction has no limits and can be applied virtually anywhere in the world. This technique of fast construction in inaccessible areas can also be used in extreme situations where conventional construction is not possible.

6/ KOMA Modular Construction zkracuje název

Oznamujeme všem příznivcům a obchodním partnerům modulární architektury a společnosti KOMA MODULAR CONSTRUCTION, že naše firma používá od Nového roku 2014 nový název KOMA Modular s. r. o. Vedení společnosti se pro tento krok rozhodlo ne kvůli obecnému trendu „zkracování“, ale zejména kvůli tomu, že původ­ní název KOMA MODULAR CONSTRUCTION splnil svůj záměr v době, kdy slovo „construction“ demonstrovalo zaměření výroby.

KOMA Modular je v České republice průkopníkem modulární výstavby a architektury a v současnosti se povědomí o značce KOMA dostalo na takovou úroveň, že každý už ví, v jakém oboru se společnost pohybuje.

5/ Kulturní dům s velkoformátovými flat-packy

Systém výstavby pomocí tzv. flat­packů využíváme poměrně často, nicméně stavba řešená z velko­formátových modulů, které by byly dopraveny ve složeném stavu, je do jisté míry unikát. Kulturní dům v obci Rybník v České republice o ploše 324 m2 je tvořen 10 velkoformátovými moduly Comfort, přičemž sál, který je složen ze 6 modulů, musí mít světlou výšku 4,3 metru. Pro zázemí kulturního domu, které obsahuje kuchyňku, WC, sklady a klu­bovnu, byly použity 4 standardně vyrobené moduly se světlou výškou 2,8 m.

4/ Montáž ve Švýcarských AlpáchLehkost konstrukce modulárních staveb využil švýcarský investor při přístavbě mateřské školy ve městě Hilterfingen. V nepřístupném terénu Švýcarských Alp provedl montáž KOMA modulů s pomocí vrtulníku. Hrubá montáž školky byla tak provedena během jednoho dne a školka byla při­pravena ke stěhování nábytku a zahájení provozu během několika dní. Tento příklad dokazuje, že modulární KOMA výstavba nezná omezení a lze ji realizovat prakticky kdekoliv na světě. Tuto tech­niku rychlé výstavby v nepřístupném terénu lze pochopitelně využít také v extrémních situacích, kde konvenční výstavba není možná.
