All the props the girls are carrying with them(helmets, torch light, camera and climbing gear helps us understand the location that they're in

Hair and make up

The girls in this have little make up on that makes them dirty and sweaty showing the viewers what the cave feels like

Here we have a crawler and crawlers Are more or less just make up over the skin, this is prostatic make up. The make up gives them pale grey skin with scars , weird eyes, ears and nose.

Acting

The acting of the crawlers is very different to that of the girls as the crawlers are not human they are animals of the dark. The crawlers can stand like humans but as their name suggest they mainly crawl to get around.

The acting from the girls is very realistic as its portrays exactly what we would feel if we were trapped in a cave, and all their emotions are the same (scared, confused, shocked) as ours.

Lighting

The girls have a torch light on their helmets, the torch light is the most used source of light which helps the characters see in the pitch black cave.

The night light is used because the cave is very dark and the images they see on the camera is what we see this makes it more realistic.
